Marie Curie made remarkable contributions to the field of science, especially in the study of radioactivity. She was the first scientist to introduce the term “radioactivity”.Along with her husband Pierre Curie, she discovered two new elements called Polonium and Radium. These discoveries were very important in the development of modern physics and chemistry. Marie Curie’s research helped in the use of radiation in medical treatment, especially in treating cancer. During World War I, she also helped develop mobile X-ray units to treat injured soldiers. Her work opened new paths in scientific research and changed the way scientists understand atoms and radiation.
